南北朝の時代、征西将軍宮の懐良親王が植えられた樹齢約600年の椋の巨木です。将軍木の前に能場があり、秋には松囃子能が奉納されます。
It is a giant tree about 600 years old that was planted by Prince Kaneyoshi of the Seisei Shogun Palace during the Northern and Southern Dynasties. There is a Noh Hall in front of Shogun Tree, and Matsubayashi Noh is dedicated in the fall.
