はるか太平洋を一望できることから「沖見城」とも呼ばれました。天守閣などの建物は明治時代に取り壊されましたが、今も残る石垣は見事であり、国の史跡に指定されています。
It was also called “Okimi Castle” because it overlooks the far Pacific Ocean. Buildings such as the castle tower were demolished in the Meiji period, but the stone wall that still remains is splendid and has been designated as a national historic site.
