田島弥平旧宅は「富岡製糸場と絹産業遺産群」として世界遺産登録されています。主屋は、文久3年（1863年）に建てられ、「清涼育」に最適な住居兼蚕室の構造であり、近代養蚕農家の原型となりました。

Tajima Yahei's former home is registered as a World Heritage Site as the “Tomioka Silk Mill and Silk Industrial Heritage Group.” The main building was built in Bunkyu 3 (1863), and is an ideal residence and silkroom structure for “cool nurturing,” and became the prototype for modern sericulture farmers.
