昭和54年久良湾の海底40mに34年問原型のまま沈んでいた紫電改が引き揚げられた。紫電改はゼ口戦に代わる新鋭機として終戦間近に開発され、海軍のもっとも優れた戦闘機と言われており、現存する、日本で唯一機。
In Showa 54, the Shiden Kai, which had sunk 40m under the sea in Kura Bay in its original form for 34 years, was salvaged. The Shidenkai was developed close to the end of the war as a cutting-edge aircraft to replace the Zegou Battle, is said to be the Navy's best fighter, and is the only aircraft in existence in Japan.
