中山道の宿場町としての歴史を残す文化財。
明治16 年（1883）築の旧本庄警察署。柱や半円窓などに西洋のコリント式建築様式を取り入れた洋風建築。入口には本庄宿の北本陣と呼ばれた田村本陣の正門を移築。
見学自由（外観のみ）。
A cultural property that preserves its history as a post town on Nakasendo.
The former Honjo Police Station was built in Meiji 16 (1883). Western-style architecture incorporating Western Corinthian architectural styles such as columns and semicircular windows. The main gate of Tamura Honjin, called the North Honjin of Honjo-juku, was moved to the entrance.
