建治3年(1277年)に建立され、日蓮宗三長三本の一つに数えられる名刹です。別名「あじさい寺」としても知られ、初夏には約1,000株、5,000本程の花菖蒲と約3万本のアジサイが咲き誇ります。また紅葉もきれいです。
Built in Kenji 3 (1277), it is a famous temple counted as one of the three major temples of the Nichiren sect. Also known as the “hydrangea temple,” about 1,000 plants, 5,000 irises, and 30,000 hydrangeas bloom in early summer. Also, the fall colors are beautiful.
