若桜鉄道の駅でその名前から、SUZUKIの大型バイク「隼」ライダーの聖地としても知られている。昭和5年までは終着駅だったため、本屋のほかにも乗務員休憩所など、他の駅ではみられない構造もあり、国の登録有形文化財にも登録されている。
It is a Wakasa Railway station and is also known as a sacred place for SUZUKI's large motorcycle “Hayabusa” riders because of its name. Since it was a terminal station until Showa 5, in addition to bookstores, there are also structures not seen at other stations, such as crew rest areas, etc., and it is registered as a nationally registered tangible cultural property.
