甲斐の名将・武田信玄公を祀った神社です。甲斐武田氏三代である信虎公・信玄公・勝頼公が居館とした、「躑躅ケ崎館（つつじがさきやかた）」跡に創建され、1940年（昭和15年）には国の史跡に指定されています。境内には当時をしのばせる堀や石垣が残り、今も御神水が湧き出でる「姫の井戸」や、金運を招くと伝わる「三葉の松」などはパワースポットとしても人気を集めています。
拝殿の右奥にある「宝物殿」には、武田家に伝わる鎧や太刀などが展示され、甲斐武田氏一族の繁栄ぶりを今に伝えます。
It is a shrine dedicated to Kai's great lord, Prince Takeda Shingen. It was built on the site of the “Azalea Tsujigasakikan (Azalea Saki Yakata)” where the three generations of the Kai-Takeda clan lived, and was designated as a national historic site in 1940 (Showa 15). Moats and stone walls reminiscent of those days remain in the precincts, and even now, the “Princess's Well,” where sacred water springs out, and the “three-leaf pine,” which is said to bring good luck, are also popular as power spots.
Armor, swords, etc. handed down in the Takeda family are displayed in the “treasure hall” at the back right of the hall of worship, and it conveys the prosperity of the Kai Takeda clan to the present day.
