三上山の中腹にある真言宗の山寺。1208年に解脱上人貞慶が再興。国宝の五重塔は1214年建立、あざやかな朱塗り。境内から瓶原木津川を一望できるが、寺までの道は急坂なのでご注意を。12月18日には中風封じの大根炊きが行われる。
Yamadera of the Shingon sect is located halfway up Mount Mikami. In 1208, the liberated Shonin Sadayoshi was revived. The five-story pagoda, which is a national treasure, was built in 1214 and has a bright vermilion paint. You can overlook the Kizugawa River from the precincts, but be aware that the road to the temple is steep. On December 18, daikon will be cooked with a medium wind seal.
