吉野川の沿岸には高岩、芝崎、ナメラなど奇岩景勝の場所が多く存在します。特に有名な芝崎の奇岩は、吉野川が急カーブを描いて蛇行する場所にあります。緑泥片岩などの岩石が岸に露出した景観は、一帯でも群を抜いています。
