内外海半島北側の海岸にある海蝕洞で、日本海の荒波が創りあげた海の芸術。約6kmにわたる断崖美と地獄門、網掛岩、夫婦亀岩、白糸の滝、大門・小門などと名付けられた奇岩、洞門、洞窟などが豪壮な景観をなし、若狭湾国定公園を代表する景勝地となっている。若狭フィッシャーマンズ・ワーフから出航する「蘇洞門めぐり遊覧船」で、その奇観を存分に楽しむことが出来る。
Maritime art created by the rough waves of the Sea of Japan in a marine cave on the northern coast of the Inland Sea peninsula. The beautiful cliffs that span about 6 km and include Jigokumon, Amigake-iwa, Meoto Kame, Shiraito Falls, and strange rocks, caves named Daimon and Komon, etc., have spectacular scenery, and it is a scenic spot representing Wakasa Bay National Park. You can fully enjoy this spectacle on the “Sodomon Sightseeing Boat” that departs from Wakasa Fisherman's Wharf.
