かつて平安京に都が移された際、都の西を守るために経典が埋められたという由緒あるお寺です。紅葉が有名なお寺ですが、春にはしだれ桜や山桜が境内をピンク色に染上げます。たぬきやかえるのかわいい置物やハートの切り株も要チェックです！
Once upon a time, when the capital was moved to Heian-kyo, it is a historic temple where sutras were buried to protect the west of the capital. The temple is famous for its fall foliage, but in spring, weeping cherry blossoms and mountain cherry blossoms dye the precincts pink. Be sure to check out the cute figurines of raccoon dogs and heart stumps!
