唐津のまちの中心部にある唐津神社は、入口にそびえたつ白い鳥居が印象的。建てられたのが奈良時代といわれる古い社で、住吉三神と神田宗次とを祀っています。唐津の最大のお祭り「唐津くんち」は唐津神社の秋季例大祭で、神社のすぐそばには祭を彩る14台の曳山を展示保管する曳山展示場があります。
Karatsu Shrine, located in the center of Karatsu, has an impressive white torii gate towering at the entrance. It is an old shrine that was built in the Nara period, and enshrines the Sumiyoshi Three Gods and Kanda Munetsugu. Karatsu's biggest festival, “Karatsu Kunchi,” is an annual fall festival at Karatsu Shrine, and right next to the shrine, there is a Hikiyama exhibition hall that displays and stores 14 hikiyama that adorn the festival.
