大光寺は建保3年（1215）創建。神流川合戦により本堂などが焼失、惣門のみが残った。見透灯篭は文化12 年（1815）に造立。ともに町指定の文化財。
Daiko-ji Temple was built in the 3rd year of Kenpo (1215). The main hall and the like were burnt down due to the Battle of Kanna-gawa River, and only the Somon Gate remained. The Mito lantern was built in Bunka 12 (1815). Both are cultural properties designated by the town.
