日本三大さざえ堂の一つ。
天明3年（1783）信州浅間山の大噴火の犠牲者を弔うために建立。外観2階建て、内部3 層の回廊式建築様式は珍しく、西国33ヶ所、坂東33ヶ所、秩父34ヶ所の観音様が祀られている
It is one of Japan's Three Great Saedō.
It was built to mourn the victims of the great eruption of Mount Asama in Shinshu in Tenmei 3 (1783). The 2-story exterior and 3-story internal corridor style are rare, and Kannon statues are enshrined at 33 locations in Saigoku, 33 in Bando, and 34 in Chichibu
