曹洞宗の寺院。貞治5年に通海（つうかい）という僧により開創されたと伝えられる。惣門と本堂は埼玉県指定文化財で、三門は飯能市指定文化財になっており迫力がある。
A temple of the Soto sect. It is said that it was founded in Sadaji 5 by a monk called Tsukai (Tsukai). The Somon Gate and the main hall are cultural properties designated by Saitama Prefecture, and the three gates are cultural properties designated by Hanno City, which is impressive.
