旧立川番所書院は、藩主参勤交代の通路として使われた土佐路最後の藩主の宿所であったが、明治時代に一般の旅人宿として改築され、現在は国の重要文化財に指定されている。
The former Tachikawa Bansho Shoin was the residence of the last lord of the domain in Tosa-ji which was used as a passageway for the feudal lord Sankin, but it was renovated in the Meiji period as a general traveler's inn, and now it is designated as an important cultural property of the country.
