1934年に創建された徳島県唯一の木造芝居小屋。映画『虹をつかむ男』のロケ舞台となったことがきっかけで、1999年に町指定文化財として昭和初期の創建時の姿に修復され、一般公開されることになった。
現在は芝居公演や映画上映の他、市民の芸能文化の発表の場となっている。
The only wooden playhouse in Tokushima Prefecture, built in 1934. Since it became the location for the movie “The Man Who Grabs the Rainbow,” it was restored to its appearance in the early Showa period as a cultural property designated by the town in 1999, and it was opened to the public.
Currently, in addition to play performances and film screenings, it is a place for citizens to present their performing arts culture.
