推古天皇の推古天皇の御願所として創建されたと伝えられており、播州地方最古の寺院のひとつ。茅葺き屋根や夏のハス、秋の絨毯状のイチョウの落葉が見所。
It is said to have been built as a request for Emperor Suiko, and is one of the oldest temples in the Banshu region. Highlights include thatched roofs, summer lotus, and fall carpet-shaped leaves of gingko trees in fall.
