開基は鑑真和上、のちに弘法大師が移したとされる。本堂・千手観音坐像・梵鐘は国の重要文化財に指定されている。
It is said that the foundation was founded by Ganjin Kazujo, and Kobo Daishi later moved to it. The main hall, seated statue of Senju Kannon, and the bell are designated as important cultural properties of the country.
