「平泉の文化遺産」や現存する日本最古の高炉跡「橋の鉄鉱山」など、世界が認めた遺産群を目にすることができます。また、奥州藤原氏の歴史を伝える「歴史公園えさし藤原の郷」や日本ふるさとの原風景が広がる「遠野ふるさと村」、「ユネスコ無形文化遺産である「もち食文化」など、豊かな歴史と文化を体験できます。みちのく三大桜名所の一つ「北上展勝地」などの景勝地も点在し、四季の移ろいに魅せられるルートです。

※一部鉄道を利用した輪行区間があります。
【三陸鉄道活用区間の利用方法】
[方法①] 自転車を折りたたんで乗車
・輪行袋を使用し自転車を格納。
・予約は不要。

[方法②] 自転車を折りたたまず乗車
・前日までに三陸鉄道(株)旅客営業部に確認が必要。

You can see heritage sites recognized by the world, such as the “Cultural Heritage of Hiraizumi” and the “Bridge Iron Mine,” the oldest existing blast furnace site in Japan. Also, you can experience rich history and culture, such as “Historical Park Esashi Fujiwara no Sato,” which tells the history of the Oshu Fujiwara clan, “Tono Furusato Village,” where the original scenery of Japan's hometown spreads out, and “Mochi Food Culture,” which is a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage. Scenic spots such as “Kitakami Tenshochi,” which is one of Michinoku's top three cherry blossom spots, are also scattered, and it is a route where you can be fascinated by the changing seasons.

[Method ②] Ride a bicycle without folding it
・Confirmation with the Sanriku Railway Co., Ltd. Passenger Sales Department is required by the day before.
